AnnouncementsIndependents Week 2008 A Success!
The Humboldt County Independent Business Alliance (HumIBA) would like to thank everyone who helped make “Independents Week” a success. Specifically, we would like to thank all the media who covered our events; the City Councils of Eureka and Arcata; the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors; Eureka Main Street for organizing a great July 4th celebration, and the numerous volunteers who staffed our tables at events.
We would also like to thank the many businesses that participated in our Scavenger Hunt including: Signature Coffee Company, Moonrise Herbs, Simply Macintosh, Central Office, Seguin Woodworks, Belle Starr, Green Life Evolution Center, Greenhouse Board Shop, Chapala Restaurant, Dandelion Herbal Center, Global Village Art Gallery, Freshwater Farms, Talisman Beads, Booklegger, Bug Press, Coffee Break Internet Café, Doggie Do Pet Salon, and Crosswinds Restaurant. A huge part of making our event successful depended on the great people we met who asked important questions. Thank you for your interest and excitement about our project. We hope to see you participate in the future! Finally, we would like to thank all the independent businesses that make Humboldt County the unique special place we all love. We think that working to keep your independent businesses thriving and your community strong is a very important job, and we are proud to be able to serve Humboldt County in this capacity.
