In 2009 we hope to devote more time to the online version of the directory,

We love Humboldt County! We love the people, the architecture, the natural
beauty, the culture, and we love the unique stores and shops that give
Humboldt County its special flavor.
Over 100 local, independent businesses have joined the Humboldt County
Independent Business Alliance (HumIBA) in our first year because they
believe the character of our community is worth preserving.
And we’re sure you share that same goal. This directory of over
500 independent businesses makes it simple to find and visit an independent
business near you. Humboldt County is fortunate to have thousands of
independently-owned companies that serve our residents and vistors.
Many of these businesses are one-of-a-kind and offer products and services
not easily found elsewhere. In fact, people come from miles away to shop
in our stores, eat at our restaurants, and participate in our cultural
activities.
